Let's go Chiefs and Chiefettes!

Friday April 4, 2025 will be early dismissal at noon:

2nd grade is hatching chicks and Ms. Kaitlin comes each week to share her knowledge.
This week we candled to eggs to find out which ones might hatch.
Out of our eggs we thought 12 were winners and could hatch, 5 didn’t appear to have what is needed to hatch, and 5 were too dark.
Students are so excited to see these eggs hatch!

🚦🏁 Ready, Set, STAAR! 🏁🚦
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are off to the races!
🏎💨 Students are placing their race cars on the starting line for our Race to the STAAR challenge! As they master tested standards, complete MindPlay levels, earn certificates, and achieve content-based goals, they advance their cars to the next checkpoint.
With every milestone reached, they’re one step closer to the finish line—where a well-earned incentive awaits! 🎉👏
Let’s cheer them on as they race toward success! 🏆✨ #RaceToTheSTAAR #DrivenToSucceed #FinishLineReady

Layni is rocking number bonds and learning to blend her sounds. She is ready to read and compose sentences. She is a joy to have in the classroom and her smile is contagious! Keep up the great work Layni!!
Erin and Kross were both picking up trash at the playground without being asked to. They are both very good PAX leaders and really good friends to their classmates. You will see a smile on both faces all day long!
Baylie- A big smile is how Baylie greets you. Her heart walks before her. Her sweet spirit embraces you. Baylie is not the same timid girl from the beginning of the school year. She has blossomed across contents, self-esteem is on the rise, and her PAX leadership skills shine through and through. Mr. Tavera and I are so proud of you Baylie, we just can’t stop talking about your growth! Keep it up sweet girl!
Sterling has been working hard in class. As we are reviewing STAAR material Sterling is focused in completing his work and asking questions to ensure he is on the right track. He is also a consistent PAX leader, always volunteering to hold the doors for his classmates. Keep working hard and looking out for your friends Sterling!
Evelyn consistently shines in the classroom with her respectful attitude and leadership qualities. As a PAX leader, she sets a positive example for her peers, always demonstrating responsibility and kindness. Whether it's engaging in class discussions or taking on tasks for the day, Evelyn approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. Her dedication to helping create a supportive learning environment makes her an invaluable member of our classroom.
Niko is an outstanding student who goes above and beyond in making sure the classroom is always in order. He is consistently the cleanup crew, ensuring all chairs are pushed in, table groups are organized, and Chromebooks are closed before the class leaves. Niko’s attention to detail doesn’t stop there—he is also well-mannered and always ready to tackle any task that comes his way. His strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude set a great example for his classmates, making him an essential and reliable member of our classroom community.
Selena in a wonderful PAX leader. She is quiet, works hard and has come a long way this year in Math. She is a good friend to everyone, plays well with others, and has a sweet smiling good morning greeting for her teacher every day. Her hard work is showing and it is giving her the results to be ready for 3rd grade.
Aria came back from Spring Break using her voice for the good! She’s been an excellent PAX helper and friend this week too. Way to go, Aria- we are so proud of you!
