Congratulations to our Spotlight Students this week!! Way to go PAX Leaders! Lilly has shown time and time again what a PAX leader should look like. When the 3rd grade is in class, going to lunch or headed to the gym, Lilly is the example to PAX. Thank you Lilly, keep being a leader. Jaedyn is a star student! She does an amazing job in reading & math. She is a good friend to all & looks out for & helps others without a second thought. She has the kindest heart! Maddox is a star student! He is working hard daily in reading & math. He is a good friend to others & is an amazing artist! Leiah- What truly sets her apart is how she treats others. No matter what she approaches peers, teachers, and staff with kindness, respect, and an unwavering positive attitude. Leiah's manners are exemplary; she consistently shows gratitude, patience, and consideration in every interaction. One example of this is she holds the door open outside for all of 5th grade everyday no matter how cold or windy it might be outside. Whether it's through a friendly greeting, a thoughtful gesture, or an encouragement to classmates, Leiah creates a welcoming and positive environment in the classroom. Maggie is a fantastic addition to 1st grade! She is kind, she works hard, and she’s a great helper. We are so glad she’s here and a part of our group! Welcome to Crosbyton, Maggie!

3rd Graders in Mrs. Williams class are working in collaborative groups to analyze ECRs (extended constructed responses) and annotate informational texts. Mrs. Williams periodically pulls in to check for understanding, model an exemplar, and send back into groups. Parents ask your students about making small notes on the side of their reading and to explain the key parts of an ECR.

Mrs. Wallace’s amazing 4th and 5th graders have been busy learning all about food chains, producers, consumers, and decomposers!   To wrap up the unit, they got creative and designed their very own food chains, showing how energy moves through an ecosystem.
